1. Definitions

In these Terms:

• “Undralingur”, “Wonderling”, “we”, “us”, or “our” refers to Undralingur ehf. and its affiliates.

• “Services” refers to the Wonderling/Undralingur reading platform, mobile applications, website, and related services.

• “Individual User” refers to a parent or legal guardian who creates a personal account for household use.

• “Educator” refers to any school, municipality, school district, or individual teacher that uses the Services for educational purposes.

• “Student” refers to a child accessing the Services through an Educator’s access code.

• “Profile” refers to a child’s reading profile created under an Individual User account or an Educator account.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using our Services, you represent that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are an Educator, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms on behalf of your institution. Undralingur may amend these Terms at any time in accordance with Section 12.

3. Description of the Services

The Services consist of a subscription-based interactive reading platform designed for children aged approximately 4–10. The platform provides access to a library of interactive books for young readers. Available content and functionality may vary based on your account type and subscription.

4. Accounts and Registration

4.1 Individual Users

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an Individual User account. To access the full Services as an Individual User, you must create an account using a valid email address via magic link, Apple Sign-In, or Google Sign-In. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You may not share your account credentials or make your account available to others.

As an Individual User you may create one or more Profiles for your children, with a maximum of 3 profiles. Each Profile includes a display name and avatar chosen by you or your child along with settings that setup the profile’s reading experience.

4.2 Educators

Educators access the Services through access codes provided by Undralingur. Access codes may be issued per school, classroom, or other organizational unit as agreed. Each access code has a defined account limit, access scope, and expiration date.

Student accounts under Educator access codes are anonymous. Educators may assign identifying tags (such as a name or number) to student Profiles at their own discretion. Undralingur does not require or control whether these tags contain personal data.

4.3 Free Access

All users may browse sample pages from the book library without a subscription. An anonymous account is created automatically for this purpose. Free access is provided at Undralingur’s discretion and may be changed or withdrawn at any time.

5. Use of the Services

Subject to these Terms, Undralingur grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to download, install, access, and use the Services for personal reading or educational purposes on a device you own or control.

When using the Services you must comply with these Terms and all applicable laws. You may not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Services.

• Scrape, extract, or systematically collect content from the Services.

• Share, redistribute, or sublicense access codes.

• Use the Services for any commercial purpose other than education.

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services or related systems.

Undralingur reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if you use the Services in violation of these Terms.

6. Intellectual Property

Undralingur retains all rights, title, and interest in the Services, including software, trademarks, designs, graphics, and all content on the platform. The Services and their content are protected by copyright and are the property of Undralingur and/or its licensors.

No part of the Services or content may be reproduced, distributed, or otherwise exploited except as part of your normal use of the Services as permitted by these Terms. We do not transfer any ownership rights to you.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

Our processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. If you are an Individual User, please refer to our Privacy Policy for Individuals. If you are an Educator, please refer to our Privacy Policy for Schools and Educators, which also contains our data processing terms. Both policies are available on our website.

8. Subscription, Fees, and Payment

8.1 Individual Users

Subscriptions for Individual Users are available on a monthly or annual basis through Apple App Store or Google Play. All fees are payable upfront via the respective app store. Pricing, billing, and renewal are governed by the terms of the app store through which you subscribe. All listed fees include applicable value added tax (VAT).

8.2 Educators

Educator subscriptions are invoiced directly by Undralingur. Pricing, duration, and payment terms are agreed individually with the Educator. Access is granted upon receipt of payment or as otherwise agreed.

8.3 Price Changes

Undralingur reserves the right to amend subscription fees at any time. Changes apply to new subscriptions and renewals after the amended prices are published. Existing subscribers will be notified of price changes before their next renewal and may cancel before the new price takes effect.

9. Limitation of Liability

We work hard to provide a reliable and safe reading experience, but we cannot guarantee that the Services will always be available, error-free, or that content will never be lost.

The Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by applicable law:

• Undralingur is not liable for any indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Services.

• Undralingur's total liability for any claim related to the Services is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

10. Termination

10.1 By Undralingur

Undralingur may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time for violation of these Terms, without refund.

If Undralingur terminates or discontinues the Services for reasons unrelated to your conduct, Individual Users with active paid subscriptions will receive a pro-rata refund for the remaining subscription period.

10.2 By Individual Users

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the app store where you subscribed. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You may also request account deletion by contacting us or using the in-app account deletion feature.

10.3 By Educators

Educator access ends when the access code expires or is deactivated. Student accounts remain but cannot access subscription content without a valid access code. Educator data is retained unless the Educator requests deletion as described in our Privacy Policy for Schools and Educators.

10.4 Survival

Sections relating to intellectual property, limitation of liability, governing law, and any other provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

10.5 Transfer of Agreement

If Undralingur is acquired or merges with another company, we may transfer this agreement to them. We will notify you and your rights under these Terms will not be affected. You may not transfer your account or rights to someone else without our written consent.

11. Feedback

Undralingur welcomes feedback, comments, ideas, and suggestions submitted through the platform or other channels. By submitting feedback, you grant Undralingur an unrestricted, royalty-free right to use such feedback for any purpose without compensation to you.

12. Modifications of Terms

These Terms may be amended from time to time. If amended, Undralingur will provide notice via the email associated with your account or by notification within the platform. Amendments become effective no sooner than 14 days after notice has been provided. Continued use of the Services after amendments take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Iceland. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be brought before the District Court of Reykjavik.

15. App Store Terms

14.1 Apple

If you access the Services through an iOS application, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Undralingur only, not with Apple Inc. (“Apple”). Apple is not responsible for the Services or their content. Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support services for the Services. In the event the Services fail to conform to any applicable warranty, Apple’s sole obligation is to refund the purchase price of the application, if any. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the Services, including product liability claims, regulatory compliance, or intellectual property infringement. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance, Apple will have the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

14.2 Google

If you access the Services through a Google Play application, you acknowledge that Google LLC is not responsible for the Services, their content, or any claims arising from your use of the Services.
